in college. here are some thoughts.

i live for GAMEDAY.

i really really hate q100.

so today we decided to participate in q100's college ditch day. the premise of the event was that if you arrived at six flags between 6 and 9 in the morning, you would receive free admission into the park. so being the very poo college students that we are, we decided to leave tech at 6 am to ensure our arrival before 9 and to maximize our time in the park. oh how wrong we were.

shortly after arriving on the interstate, we realized that there was an unusually high amount of traffic volume for 6 in the morning. a couple friends of ours who had left at 5:30 called us and told us that the cops had shut off the ramps getting of the interstate to six flags and that the park was also shut down as it had already reached capacity. however, we decided to continue on our journey and try to get to the park.

we finally arrived at the park at about 8:15. two hours and 15 minutes to go 6 exits on the highway. what normally takes 15-20 minutes took us 2.5 hours. but we still got to the park before 9, which meant we would get in free. WRONG. we got to the park gates and they told us that they had run out of free tickets, but if we still wanted to go in we would have to pay the $27 admission fee. being the poor college students that we are, we turned around and went home. we got back to tech at 10:30. we were on the road for 4.5 hours and had nothing but exhaustion to show for it.

so we went to sleep. and didn't go to classes. it was pretty nice. we all woke up at about 7:30, and hung out for a while before going out. we grabbed a bit to eat and then went bowling. at midnight. which if you have never experienced in the downtown atlanta area, you should definitely try once. this in itself was an exciting experience, as the fauna around was one of a kind. it makes me so incredibly happy to know that my very close group of friends enjoy people watching as much as i do. its a sport, and we are always actively playing.

anyways, there was a couple about two lanes down that was SMASHED. i have never seen adults as drunk as they were. the woman was wearing a see through top and a pencil skirt, whose slit had torn all the way up to her hip. she really looked like a prostitute. dyed black hair, dark nails and nasty makeup. they guy had the very sleezy slicked back hairstyle and was wearing very expensive shoes, dress pants, a button down shirt, and a sweater vest over it.

they were making a complete mockery of themselves. it was like watching the mating shows on animal planet. they were doing these weird gyrations and grabbing each other and kissing and falling down on the lane. it was hilarious. so for the sake of photo documentation of this, i went over and told the woman that i thought her outfit was beautiful and could i please have a picture with her. amazing. she bought it. and had the rest of her posse pose in the picture, too.

quite exciting. on top of all this, there was a HUGE group of morehouse men on either side of us equally fascinated by this couple. finally the bowling alley people got sick of their show and kicked them out. who gets kicked out of bowling? that made for more laughs as they argued with the managers as to why they were getting kicked out.

then the finale to the evening. four black guys came in. wearing girls pants and very very tight spongebob t-shirts. and swaying their hips more than any girl i know. the morehouse men went crazy. it really gave us new meaning to moving exhibits.

so yeah. yay for radio station promotions that don't actually work. lame.

that's all for now!
vicky
